Fenster suggests advice such as monitoring your caloric intake for the day (i.e. if you know you are going to a party at night, eat light during the day), and learning the calorie counts of the food you eat, especially if you are new to eating gluten-free.
Fenster also clarifies that many fried and unhealthy foods often contain gluten which can help you stay away, but if you do find that a fried food happens to be gluten-free it will contain just as many calories as regular fried food.
